Building A Memorial

Remember When...

I Remember the Days of Old; I Ponder All Your Deeds; the Works of Your Hands I Recall, (Psalm 143:5).

You Can Learn From the Past.  (Remember Who You Are~!)  Taken From, “The Lion King.

Sometimes, Pastors Would Have Us Believe that We Survive From Guest Speaker to Guest Speaker.  However, Only by Remembering What Yahweh Did in the Past Can We Go On From Faith to Faith or From Glory to Glory, (Romans 1:17, 2 Corinthians 3:18).

By Remembering What Yahweh Has Done in the Past, and Using these Recollections We Can Go Forward to New Exploits, (Daniel 11:32).  These Accounts that We Lock into Our Heart Will Strengthen and Give Us New Courage.  Yahweh Says, “Remember the Former Things of Old, For I Am God, and there is No Other; I Am God, and there is None Like Me”, (Isaiah 46:9 ~ NKJV).  And Yahweh was the One Who First Augmented this Pattern Back When He Told Joshua to Set Up 12 Stones For a Remembrance That this May Be a Sign to You When Your Children Ask, ”What Do these Stones Mean?” (See Joshua 4:1-9 Below).

I Imagine that Every Time You Told Your Kids or GrandChildren About these Stones, You Might unfold the Whole Account as Told in Joshua 3:5-17, (Below) and this Would Re-Kindle the Fire in Your Own Heart.  I Wonder if David Had Heard this Story Before He Battled Goliath.  I Bet He Did Because of Several Sentences He Said Before the Encounter.  Sentences Like,You Come to Me with a Sword, with a Spear, and with a Javelin. But I Come to You in The, “Name of Yahweh” of Hosts, the God of the Armies of Israel, Whom You Have Defied.” (1 Samuel 17:45, See Also Psalm 118:26, Which King David Wrote by the Inspiration of the Holy Ghost).

Actually there Are Many Other Things that David Said that Lead Me to Believe that King David Knew the Revelation of Remembering When He Talks About Yahweh, a Bear and a Lion:

“Your Servant Has Killed Both Lion and Bear; and this UnCircumcised Philistine Will Be Like One of Them, Seeing He Has Defied the Armies of the Living God.”  Moreover David Said, “Yahweh, Who Delivered Me From the Paw of the Lion and From the Paw of the Bear, He WILL Deliver Me From the Hand of this Philistine.”  And Saul Said to David, “Go, and Yahweh Be With You~!”, (1 Samuel 17:36-37).  This is the Same Thing that The Three Hebrew Boys Proclaimed When They Were About To Be Tossed Into the Fiery Furnace~!  Our God Whom We Serve is Able to Deliver Us From the Burning Fiery Furnace, and He Will Deliver Us From Your Hand, O King,” (Daniel 3:17).

The Sign of the Covenant

In 1 Samuel 17:26, 36, David Makes a Reference About Not Being Circumcised.  Like the Song that Says, “What’s Love Got to Do with it?” So I Am Asking Myself, “What’s Circumcision Got to Do with Price of Rice In China?”  Had David Resorted to Name-Calling?  Was David Calling Goliath, a Heathen, a Barbarian, an Unkempt Person?  What Relevance Did Being UnCircumcised Have to Do with the Fact that the Armies of Yahweh Had Been Defied(DisHonored, Disgraced, Desecrated).

No, David Knew that Circumcision was a Sign of the Covenant, and He Realized the Giant was Not in Covenant with Yahweh, and that David was in Covenant.  David was Aware that Abraham was His Forefather, and that David was One of Abraham’s Descendants, and Therefore In Covenant with Yahweh, and that Meant Yahweh Would Fight For Him and He Even Said THE BATTLE IS YAHWEH's.

(1 Samuel 17:47; 2 Chronicles 20:15; 1 Corinthians 15:57; 2 Corinthians 2:14); and that Yahweh Would Fight for them ~ (Exodus 14:14,25; Deuteronomy 1:30; 3:22; 20:4; Joshua 10:42; 23:3,10; 2 Chronicles 20:29; 32:8; Psalm 35:1; Zechariah 14:3; Revelation 19:11-21). {David Wrote (Psalm 7:10; Psalms 18:2) and Compare these Verses to 1 Samuel 17:46-47}.   Observing Psalm 105:9-12, I Feel Confident that David Had Read From the Book of Genesis (Below) About this Covenant Yahweh Made with Abraham and His Descendants, of Which David was One, (1 Chronicles 1:27-29, 2:13-15, Matthew 1:1-6,17, Luke 3:31-34).  In Other Words David Knew that He was in Covenant with Yahweh and that this Giant was Not in Covenant, (or Else Why Would David Even Mention Anything About Being Circumcised?)

“This [is] My Covenant Which You Shall Keep, Between Me and You And Your Descendants After You: Every Male Child Among You Shall Be Circumcised; and You Shall Be Circumcised in the Flesh of Your Foreskins, and it Shall Be a Sign of The Covenant Between Me and You. (Genesis 17:10-11).

In Fact, From David’s Perspective, Knowing What a Covenant was ALL About, He Knew that Yahweh was Backing Him Up Entirely, (Psalm 35:1-4).  David Knew Who He Was~!  He Knew His Identity and that He was in a Covenant with Yahweh.  The Giant Had Defied the Armies of Yahweh.  David’s Courage Came From Knowing Who He Was~!  David Knew that He was a Descendant of Abraham, and He Knew What Yahweh Had Already Done For Abraham.  Psalm 105:12 Clearly States that David Knew Yahweh Had Worked with Few in Number.

Covenant With Yahweh Means, “The Battle is His”~!

And to Further Validate My Point, Take a Close Look at What David’s Companion and Friend Jonathan Did in 1 Samuel 14:6-16.  David Probably Had Shared His Intimate Thoughts with, Jonathan, (1 Samuel 18:1, 3-4).  David Also Had Went So Far as to Make a Covenant with Jonathan, Which Further Shows that David Knew What a Covenant was ALL About.

In 1 Samuel 14:6-16, You Will Find a Remarkable Story of Courage and Bravery, Echoing Almost Word for Word What David Said, Again Referencing the UnCircumcised and Making Mention of the God of A Few Good Men. ~ And Jonathan Said to His Young Armor-Bearer, Come, and Let Us Go Over to The Garrison of These UnCircumcised; It May Be that Yahweh Will Work for Us. for There is Nothing to Prevent Yahweh From Saving by Many or by Few, 1 Samuel 14:6.

David and Jonathan Were Saying What Our Policemen Say When they Wear a Badge.  ”We May Be Small In Number, But You Harm One of Us then You Will Have All of Our Tribe or Gang Coming After You, But More than that, You’ll Have Our Father Coming After You.”  Indian Blood-Brothers Have this Same Viewpoint, and so Do Gangs.  Yahweh is The Ultimate Body Guard.  Nobody is Going to Mess with Someone When They Know You’re Being Protected and that There Will Be Retaliation For Any Harm Done to You Or Your Family.

That is Why David, (and Jonathan in 1 Samuel 14:12), Could Daringly Proclaim:, “This Day Yahweh WILL DELIVER You into My Hand, and I Will Strike You and Take Your Head From You.  And This Day I Will Give the Carcasses of the Camp of the Philistines to the Birds of the Air and the Wild Beasts of the Earth, That ALL the Earth May Know that There Is A God in Israel.  Then ALL This Assembly SHALL KNOW that Yahweh Does Not Save with Sword and Spear; For the Battle is Yahweh’s, and He Will Give You into Our Hands.”  David Knew He Was In Covenant with God to Proclaim Such Bold Words.

Telling to the Generation to Come the Praises of Yahweh

At Another Time David was So Despondent that He Had to Encourage Himself in Yahweh.  Now David was Greatly Distressed, For the People Spoke of Stoning Him, Because the Soul of ALL the People was Grieved, Every Man For His Sons and His Daughters.  But David Strengthened Himself in Yahweh His God.   (1 Samuel 30:6 ~ NKJV).  How Did David Strengthen Himself in Yahweh?  Recall How Just Before David Encountered Goliath, He Rehearsed How God Had Saved Him From a Lion, and a Bear?

Would it Not Be Unlike David’s Method of Success to Now Recall the Lion, the Bear, and Now Goliath~!  I Think So, and Here’s Why.  David Wrote Psalm 77:3, 5, 11-12; Psalm 78:5-7; Psalm 96:3; 1 Chronicles 16:24; Psalm 105:2, 5, 8-12; 1 Chronicles 16:9, 12, 15-16.  In Fact, David Wrote a Rather Long Psalm 78:1-72 & Psalm 105:1-45 as a Sort of Prayer Journal That Would Remind Him of What Great and Awesome Things Yahweh Had Done in the Past~!  And David’s Close Friend Jonathan Said the Same Thing, Indicating that they May Have Talked About this Before, 1 Samuel 14:6-16.

Psalm 78:4-8; Deuteronomy 6:7; Exodus 13:8, 14; Joel 1:3, (AMPC)

Psalm 78:4-8
4 We Will Not Hide Them From their Children, Telling to the Generation to Come the Praises of Yahweh, His Strength, and His Wondrous Works that He Has Done.
5 For He Established a Testimony (an Express Precept) in Jacob and Appointed a Law in Israel, Commanding Our Fathers that they Should Make [the Great Facts of Yahweh’s Dealings with Israel] Known to their Children,
6 That The Generation to Come Might Know Them, that the Children Still to Be Born Might Arise and Recount Them to their Children,
7 That They Might Set Their Hope in God and Not Forget the Works of God, But Might Keep His Commandments
8 And Might Not Be as Their Fathers—A Stubborn and Rebellious Generation, A Generation that Set Not their Hearts Aright Nor Prepared their Hearts to Know God, and Whose Spirits Were Not Steadfast and Faithful to God.

Deuteronomy 6:7 ~ You Shall Whet and Sharpen Them So as to Make Them Penetrate, and Teach and Impress Them Diligently Upon the [Minds And] Hearts of Your Children, And Shall Talk of Them When You Sit in Your House and When You Walk by the Way, and When You Lie Down and When You Rise Up.
Exodus 13:8 ~ You Shall Explain to Your Son On that Day, This is Done Because of What Yahweh Did For Me When I Came Out of Egypt.
Exodus 13:14 ~ And When, in Time to Come, Your Son Asks You, What Does this Mean?  You Shall Say to Him, By Strength of Hand Yahweh Brought Us Out From Egypt, From the House of Bondage and Bondmen.
Joel 1:3 ~ Tell Your Children of it, and Let Your Children Tell their Children, and their Children Another Generation.

Look in the New Testament at Timothy, How Faith Was Taught from One Generation to Another, Who It Was Said About Him, “Clearly Recalling Your Sincere Faith that First Lived In Your Grandmother Lois, then In Your Mother Eunice, and that I am Convinced is In You Also”, (2 Timothy 1:5).

Or Look at King David Whose GrandMother Was Ruth, (Ruth 4:17), and Probably Their Love Story of Ruth and Boaz Influenced Him and, {David Had a Heart Like God}.

David Rehearsed To Others What Yahweh Had Done Often, (Psalm 75:1, Amplified Bible Classic Edition).  Before We Pray to Raise the Dead, Maybe We Should Offer a Chance For People to Testify About How they Saw Someone Raised From the Dead, So that We Too Could Rehearse Yahweh’s Wonders and Allow that to Stir Our Hearts into Faith to Believe.

Crossing Jordan

Joshua 3:5-17

5 And Joshua Said to the People, “Sanctify Yourselves, For Tomorrow Yahweh Will Do Wonders Among You.”

6 Then Joshua Spoke to the Priests, Saying, “Take Up the Ark of the Covenant and Cross Over Before the People.”  So they Took Up the Ark of the Covenant and Went Before the People.

7 And Yahweh Said to Joshua, “This Day I Will Begin to Exalt You in the Sight of ALL Israel, that they May Know that, as I was with Moses, [So] I Will Be With You.

8 You Shall Command the Priests Who Bear the Ark of The Covenant, Saying, ‘When You Have Come to the Edge of the Water of the Jordan, You Shall Stand in the Jordan.’, “

9 So Joshua Said to the Children of Israel, “Come Here, and Hear the Words of Yahweh Your God.”

10 And Joshua Said, “By This You SHALL KNOW that the Living God [is] Among You, and [that] HE WILL WITHOUT FAIL Drive Out From Before You the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Hivites and the Perizzites and The Girgashites and the Amorites and the Jebusites:

11 Behold, the Ark of the Covenant of Yahweh of ALL The Earth is Crossing Over Before You into the Jordan.

12 Now Therefore, Take For Yourselves Twelve Men From the Tribes of Israel, One Man From Every Tribe.

13 And it Shall Come to Pass, as Soon as the Soles of the Feet of the Priests Who Bear the Ark of Yahweh, Yahweh of ALL the Earth, Shall Rest in the Waters of the Jordan, [that] the Waters of the Jordan Shall Be Cut Off, the Waters that Come Down From Upstream, and they Shall Stand as a Heap.”

14 So it was, When the People Set Out From their Camp to Cross Over the Jordan, with the Priests Bearing the Ark of the Covenant Before the People,

15 And as Those Who Bore the Ark Came to the Jordan, and the Feet of the Priests Who Bore the Ark Dipped in the Edge of the Water (for The Jordan Overflows ALL its Banks During the Whole Time of Harvest),

16 That the Waters Which Came Down From Upstream Stood [Still, And] Rose in a Heap Very Far Away at Adam, the City that [is] Beside Zaretan.  So the Waters that Went Down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, Failed, [and] Were Cut Off; and the People Crossed Over Opposite Jericho.

17 Then the Priests Who Bore the Ark of the Covenant of Yahweh Stood Firm On Dry Ground in the Midst of the Jordan; and ALL Israel Crossed Over On Dry Ground, Until ALL the People Had Crossed Completely Over the Jordan.

Memorial Rocks

Joshua 4:1-9 ~ NKJ

1 And it Came to Pass, When ALL the People Had Completely Crossed Over the Jordan, that Yahweh Spoke to Joshua, Saying:

2 “Take For Yourselves Twelve Men From the People, One Man From Every Tribe,

3 And Command Them, Saying, ‘Take For Yourselves Twelve Stones From Here, Out of the Midst of the Jordan, From the Place Where the Priests’ Feet Stood Firm.  You Shall Carry Them Over with You and Leave Them in the Lodging Place Where You Lodge Tonight.’, “

4 Then Joshua Called the Twelve Men Whom He Had Appointed From the Children of Israel, One Man From Every Tribe;

5 And Joshua Said to Them:, “Cross Over Before the Ark of Yahweh Your God into the Midst of the Jordan, and Each One of You Take Up a Stone On His Shoulder, According to the Number of the Tribes of the Children of Israel,

6 That this May Be a Sign Among You When Your Children Ask in Time to Come, Saying, ‘What Do these Stones Mean to You?’

7 Then You Shall Answer Them that the Waters of the Jordan Were Cut Off Before the Ark of the Covenant of Yahweh; When it Crossed Over the Jordan, the Waters of the Jordan Were Cut Off.  And these Stones Shall Be For a Memorial to the Children of Israel Forever.”

8 And the Children of Israel Did So, Just as Joshua Commanded, and Took Up Twelve Stones From the Midst of the Jordan, as Yahweh Had “Spoken” to Joshua, According to the Number of the Tribes of the Children of Israel, and Carried Them Over with Them to the Place Where they Lodged, and Laid Them Down there.

9 Then Joshua Set Up Twelve Stones in the Midst of the Jordan, in the Place Where the Feet of the Priests Who Bore the Ark of the Covenant Stood; and they Are there to this Day.

Why d—Evil One Wants Us to Proclaim Bad Things with Our Mouth

You Have to Get Out of Shittim to Cross Over Jordan into the Promised Land, (The Acacias), the place of Israel's Encampment Between The Conquest of The Trans-Jordanic Highlands and The Passage of the Jordan. (Numbers 25:1; Numbers 33:49; Joshua 2:1; 3:1; Micah 6:5)

So, if We Understand How Things Work in the Spirit… Then We Can Grasp Why d—Evil One Wants Us to Proclaim Bad Things with Our Mouth.  Keith Moore Says that at One Time in His Life, {I Think He Said For About a Month}, d—Evil One Would Taunt Tell Him Saying, “I’m Going to Kill You.” Finally, After Praying One Morning, He Mentioned this Annoying Drone to Abba, and the Father Replied, “Ask Him Why Hasn’t He Already Done it.”  Simple, Yet Profound. So, He Asked and the Voice Stopped.

The Truth of the Matter is Much Like The, “Wizard of Oz” Who Appeared to Be More Scarier than He Actually was, He was Just a Man of Short Stature Hiding Behind the Scenes Controlling What You Saw.  So, if Keith Moore Had, “Taken a Thought,” and, “Said, “The Enemy is Going to Kill Me,” He Might Have Been Found Dead. {“Take No Thought, Saying” ~ To Save Me Writing it Twice, Please Go to the Following Web Site, (Click Here). 1 Corinthians 14:3 Says that Prophecy Does the Following, “But He Who Prophesies Speaks Edification And Exhortation and Comfort To Men.”

Generally, the Definitions For Exhortation Preachers Use Are the Same Definitions that Are Used For Edification.  Being Called to Be One Who Exhorts, I Knew in My Knower that Yahweh Wasn’t Saying He that Prophesies Speaks Edification, Edification and Comfort To Men.  That’s Not Like Yahweh, as He is Very Precise in His Wordings.  (Click Here to See More About Encouraging).

So, I Prayed About it, and Yahweh Said to Go Get The Five Inch, “Webster’s New Twentieth Century Dictionary of the English Language, 2nd Edition, Unabridged,” (This is the Kind of Big Dictionary that they Have in Libraries).   The Webster’s New Twentieth Century Dictionary of the English Language, 2nd Edition, Unabridged Defines Exhort as: to Deliver Exhortation; To Use Words or Arguments to Incite to Good Deeds(And with Many Words Did He Testify and Exhort, Acts 2:40).

This is an Old Dictionary, and the New Dictionaries Tend to Abbreviate the Definitions.  This is Also Because of the Lack of Abbreviations.  The Only Reason I Happened to Have this Dictionary is that My Uncle Gave It To Me When I was Seven Years Old, and I Always Wondered Why He Gave Me a Dictionary Instead of a Toy, But Now I Know.

Exhortation is Defined as: 1 The Act of Inciting to Laudable Deeds; Incitement to that Which is Good or Commendable 2 Advice: Counsel: Admonition: a Plea, Sermon, etc.  That Exhorts.  The Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary Defines Exhort as: to Incite by Argument or Advice: Urge Strongly, Give Warnings or Advice: Make Urgent Appeals.  And Exhortation is Defined as:
1 An Act or Instance of Exhorting
Language Intended to Incite and Encourage.

The Picture that Always Comes to My Mind is a Lonely Road, Late On a Dark Night, and the Bridge is Out.  As Motorist Come Down the Highway, I Need to Exhort Them to Stop.  I Might Do it by Standing in the Middle of the Road Waving Both Hands Over My Head.  If You Come Driving by and You See Me Jumping Up and Down Waving My Arms in the Street Trying to Warn You, I’ll Won’t Be Edifying or Comforting, or Building Up Your Self-Esteem, Nor Giving a Word of Cheer as You Plummet Onward.  But, I’ll Be shouting a Warning to Incite by Argument and to Urge You Strongly Making an Urgent Appeal.  Quite a Lot of Scriptures Instruct Us to Speak Encouragingly to One Another in Love, (Ephesians 4:15, 25; Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16). (Click Here to Read More On Reasons to Give Encouragement).

The Word Used Here For Prosper is the Hebrew-Chaldee Word Shahlohm or Shalom, (Strong’s #7965), and it Means Welfare, Health, Prosperity, And Peace.  Yahweh Has Plans For Your Welfare So that You Are Safe From Harm.  Yahweh Has Plans For Your Health, Plans For Your Prosperity, and Plans For Your Peace. Although the Word is Most Often Translated as the Word Peace, This is the Same Word in 2 Samuel 18:32, That David Used to Ask if Absalom was Safe; And the Same Word Used in 2 Samuel 20:9, When Joab Asked Amasa, “Art Thou in Health?”; And the Same Word Used as Welfare in 1 Chronicles 18:10; and as Prosperous in Zechariah 8:12.
