Try, Examine, Prove, Test, Scrutinize

Yahweh Is In His Holy Temple.  Yahweh Is On His Throne In Heaven.  His Eyes Observe.  His Eyes Examine The Children Of Men, (Psalm 11:4).

Psalm 11:4
  • His Eyes 05869 Behold 02372, His Eyelids 06079 Try 0974, The Children Of Men.  (KJV + Strong’s Concordance Numbers).
  • His Eyes Behold, His Eyelids Test The Sons Of Men.  (NKJV)
  • His Eyes Behold; His Eyelids Test And Prove The Children Of Men.  (Amplified Bible Classic Edition).
  • His Eyes Observe.  His Eyes Examine The Children Of Men, (Hebrew Names Bible).

I Have Worked With Computers A Long Time, And When I Move A Computer, I Have To Disconnect ALL The Cables To The Monitor, The Printer, The Ethernet Cables, The USB Cables And The Power Cords.  Then I Move The Whole Computer, And Have To Put Back In Place ALL The Cables And Cords.   Or Perhaps, When I’m Building A Computer From The Ground Up.  Then Once I Either Moved or Build The Computer; The First Thing I Do Is Fire This ‘Thang Up’, And To Prove That It Is Working A-Okay Without A Problem.

This Is A Test, But It Is Not A Test Hoping That It Will Fail.  Rather, I’m Hoping To Prove That ALL Is Working In Operating Order On This Computer.  If I Encounter A Problem, I Solve It Before Releasing It To The Person, I’m Fixing It For.  I Would Consider Someone That Does Not Do Double-Check As Lacking or Missing A Quality Assurance On The Check List, And If It Fails, I Would Not Fault The Computer But The Installer.  Yahweh Is Our Installer, Our Manufacturer, (It Is Yahweh That Has Made Us And Not We Ourselves”, {Psalm 100:3}).

Inspection Time

Well, “Yahweh Is Testing Us With His Eyelids”.  That’s A Strange Concept.  So, I Looked Up The Word Test, And Found The Following Results.   The Treasury Of David, (By Charles H. Spurgeon), Helped Me To Come Up With The “In-My-World”, Example From Computers.  Charles Strong Also Gave Me Some Insight.  So, I Being Also Named, “Charles”, Also Add To This, To Scrutinize By Studying A Piece Of Jewelry With A Magnifying Glass And A Light.

I Took My Puzzle Ring To One Of The Best Jeweler’s In The State Of Alabama To Have It Repaired.  This Particular Jeweler Even Teaches Classes On Jewelry Repair, (So He Knows What He’s Doing).  He Would Be A Modern Day Craftsman Like Those That Helped Make The Gold And Silver Ornamentation ~ Decorations In The Temple.  He Examined The Ring Closely And Told Me That It Was 24k Gold.  None-the-Less, The Weld Was Only 12-14k Gold; And That The Ring Had Been Exposed To The Chorine In A Swimming Pool, And The Chorine Would Eventually Dissolve The Weld Again As It Was Less Amount Of Pure Gold, (As It Had This Time).  He Also Told Me That He Would Replace The Weld With A Higher Grade Of Gold.

When I Came To Pick Up The Ring, The Jeweler Again Placed The Ring In A Clamp And Swung Over His High Intensity Lamp, And Put On His Eye Magnifier And Re-Examined The Ring, Not Looking For Flaws; But Looking To See Make Sure That Everything Is Flawless Before Handing The Gold Ring To Me.  This Is The Concept That I Derived After Reading What Others Had To Say, (Including The Theological Wordbook Of The Old Testament).

When No One Is Watching, (Psalm 101:2)

Another Idea Of The Eyelids, Not Just Scrunching Up When Examining Something, Was That It Gave The Appearance That Yahweh Was Asleep, And The Test That Is Proving Us Ready For Promotion Is How Will We Act When We Think That Yahweh Is Not Watching Us, (That Yahweh Is Asleep).   My Father Worked For A While For My GrandFather Cutting Meat At A Store To Which My GrandFather Was The Boss.  One Thing PaPa Always Told My Dad Was That If He Came Up To You To Talk To You, Then Stop What You’re Doing And To Listen To Him, As My GrandFather Was Not Concerned About How Much Work He Was Doing When He Could See Him, But The Real Test Of Someone’s Integrity And Ability To Work Was How Well That They Worked When No One Could See Them Working~!

John Bevere Says That Yahweh Needs Someone To Carry Certain Weights.  Like If I Had A Canoe And Needed To Move It To The Top Of My Van, I Would Need Some Help.  I Couldn’t Ask A 5 or An 8 Year Old As They Don’t Have The Strength To Help Me, Nor The Height.  However, I Would Be Inclined To Ask A Neighbor Boy That Is 14-16 Years Old.  But, Even So, I Would Need To Know That He Can Carry The Weight.  So, We Might Pick Up The Canoe In The Back Yard To Test His Strength.  I Really Know That He Can Do It, So The Test Is Not For My Sake, As Much As It Is For His Sake, To Give Him Confidence.  This Is A, “Quality Assurance Test”.

Try” Means, “Prove

The Same Word Used For ‘Test’, or ‘Try’ In Psalm 11:4 Is The Very Same Word Yahweh Says To ‘Test’ or To ‘Prove’ Him With Used In Malachi 3:10 Sited Below, “Bahan”, or, “Bachan”.  To ‘Examine’, ‘Try’, ‘Prove’, ‘Test’.  Not To Prove That It Doesn’t Work, But To Prove That It Does Work~!  {Bonus: Look Up, “Bachan Test” Without The Quotes}.

Malachi 3:10 ~ Bring You ALL The Tithes Into The Storehouse, That There May Be Meat In Mine House, And Prove, (0974) Me Now HereWith, Say Yahweh Of Hosts , If I Will Not Open You The Windows Of Heaven, And Pour You Out A Blessing, That There Shall Not Be Room Enough To Receive It.

Job 7:17-18 ~
17 What Is Man, That Thou Should Magnify Him?  And That Thou Should Set Your Heart Upon Him?
18 And That Thou Should Visit Him Every Morning And Try, (0974) Him Every Moment?

(Exodus 15:25; Deuteronomy 33:8; Psalm 81:7)

Psalm 105:18-19 ~
18 They Bruised His Feet With Shackles. His Neck Was Locked In Irons,
19 Until The Time That His Word Happened, And Yahweh’s Word Proved, (H6884) Him True.

“His Eyelids Try The Children Of Men”

He Narrowly Inspects Their Actions, Words And Thoughts.  As Men, When Intently And Narrowly Inspecting Some Very Minute Object, Almost Close Their Eyelids To Exclude Every Other Object, So Will Yahweh Look ALL Men Through And Through.  Yahweh Sees Each Man As Much And As Perfectly As If There Were No Other Creature In The Universe.  He Sees Us Always; He Never Removes His Eye From Us; He Sees Us Entirely, Reading The Recesses Of The Soul As Readily As The Glancing Of The Eye.  Is Not This A Sufficient Ground Of Confidence, And An Abundant Answer To The Solicitations Of Despondency?  My Danger Is Not Hid From Him; He Knows My Extremity, And I May Rest Assured That He Will Not Suffer Me To Perish While I Rely Alone On Him.  Wherefore, Then, Should I Take The Wings Of The Timid Bird, And Flee From The Dangers Which Beset Me, {The Treasury Of David, (Charles H. Spurgeon) ~ Copied From e-Sword}.

If You Want To Get A Sharper Image On A Camera You Close The Point Of View, (Called The Aperture).  The Aperture Is A Hole or An Opening Through Which Light Travels.  By Increasing The Amount Of Light Decreasing The Size Of The Hole, The Image Will Be Sharper.  Try It Sometimes When You Are Out And Need A Magnifying Glass, But Don’t Have One.  Make A Small Hole To Peep Through Using Either Your Thumb And Your Pointing Finger or By Making A Fist And Looking Through Your Fist, or By Tightening Up Your Eyelids.

“Examine; Examination”
http://www.studylight.org/enc/isb/view.cgi?number=T3281

eg-zam’-In, eg-zam-i-na’-shun:, “Darash”, “To Follow”, “Inquire”, “Make Inquisition”, (Ezra 10:16); And, “Bachan”,To Test”, “Investigate”, “Prove”, “Tempt(Psalm 26:2).  The Former Was The Judicial Term, “Anakrino”, Meaning To, “Scrutinize”, “Investigate”, “Interrogate” (In Court), “Judge”,Search(Luke 23:14; Acts 4:9; Acts 12:19; Acts 28:18; 1 Corinthians 9:3); And, “Anetazo”, “To Investigate” (Judicially), “Examine”, (Acts 22:24,29).  Also, “Dokimazo”, “To Test”, “Examine”, “Try”, (1 Corinthians 11:28 The King James Version); And, “Peirazo”, “Scrutinize”, “Discipline”, (2 Corinthians 13:5 ~ The King James Version).  The Noun, “Anakrisis”, “Examination”, “Investigation”, Occurs In Acts 25:26.

Yahweh Tests People In Order To Learn Their Hearts.  “The Righteous Yahweh Tests The Hearts And Minds”, (Psalm 7:9).The Refining Pot Is For Silver And The Furnace For Gold, But Yahweh Tests The Hearts”, (Proverbs 17:3). “Yahweh Tests The Righteous, But The Wicked And The One Who Loves Violence His Soul Hates”, (Psalm 11:5).  “Yahweh Tested Abraham, And Said To Him, … …‘Take Now Your Son… And Go To The Land Of Moriah, And Offer Him There As A Burnt Offering On One Of The Mountains Of Which I Shall Tell You’”, (Genesis 22:1-2).  When Abraham Was About To Slay His Son, The “Angel Of Yahweh Called To Him… And Said,… ‘Do Not Lay Your Hand On The Lad,… For Now I Know That You Fear Yahweh, Since You Have Not Withheld Your Son, Your Only Son, From Me’”, (Genesis 22:11-12).By Faith Abraham, When He Was Tested, Offered Up Isaac”, (Hebrews 11:17).

In His Affliction, Job Understood That Yahweh Was Testing Him. Job Pondered, “What Is Man, That You Should Exalt Him, That You Should Set Your Heart On Him, That You Should Visit Him Every Morning, And Test Him Every Moment?”, (Job 7:17-18).

David Said To Yahweh, “You Test The Heart And Have Pleasure In Uprighteness”, (1 Chronicles 29:17).  David Once Invited Yahweh To “Examine Me, O Lord, And Prove Me; Try My Mind And My Heart”, (Psalm 26:2). Yahweh Once Withdrew From Hezekiah, “In Order To Test Him, That He Might Know All That Was In His Heart”, (2 Chronicles 32:31). The Apostle Paul Said, “We Speak, Not As Pleasing Men, But Yahweh Who Tests Our Hearts”, (1 Thessalonians 2:4). Since Yahweh Is Unchanging, (Job 23:13; Psalm 15:4; Malachi 3:6), May We Not Also Reasonable Think That Yahweh Now Tests Us In Various Ways Throughout Life?

Yahweh Tests People In Order To Learn Whether They Will Obey.  When The Israelites Found Bitter Water At Marah, They Were Told To Throw A Tree Into The Water To Make It Sweet.  So He Cried Out To Yahweh, And Yahweh Showed Him A Tree. When He Cast It Into The Waters, The Waters Were Made Sweet.  There He Made A Statute And An Ordinance For Them. And There He Tested Them.  Then Yahweh Made A Statute With The Israelites, Saying, “If You Diligently Heed The Voice Of Yahweh Your God And Do What Is Right In His Sight, Give Ear To His Commandments And Keep All His Statutes, I Will Put None Of The Diseases On You Which I Have Brought On The Egyptians, For I Am Yahweh Who Heals You”, (Exodus 15:25-26).

This Was A Test~! ~ (Exodus 15:25-26; Deuteronomy 33:8; Psalm 81:7).

Later, When The Israelites Complained That They Had No Food, “Yahweh Said, ‘Behold, I Will Rain Bread From Heaven For You.  And The People Shall Go Out And Gather A Certain Quota Every Day, That I May Test Them, Whether They Will Walk In My Law or Not’”, (Exodus 16:4); See Also (Deuteronomy 8:16).  When Yahweh Spoke The Ten Commandments To The Israelites At Mt. Sinai, The People Were Afraid.  Moses Then Said, “Do Not Fear; For Yahweh Has Come To Test You, And That His Fear May Be Before You, So That You May Not Sin”, (Exodus 20:20).  Through Moses, Yahweh Instructed The Israelites That If Someone Encouraged Another Saying, “‘Let Us Go After Other Gods,’… And ‘Let Us Serve Them,’ You Shall Not Listen To The Words Of That Prophet…, For Yahweh Your God Is Testing You To Know Whether You Love Yahweh Your God With All Your Heart And With All Your Soul.  You Shall Walk After Yahweh Your God And Fear Him, And Keep His Commandments And Obey His Voice, And You Shall Serve Him And Hold Fast To Him”, (Deuteronomy 13:2-4).

When The Israelites Entered The Promised Land, But Failed To Remove All The Wicked Inhabitants As They Had Been Commanded To Do, Yahweh Said, “I Also Will No Longer Drive Out Before Them Any Of The Nations Which Joshua Left When He Died, So That Through Them I May Test Israel, Whether They Will Keep The Ways Of Yahweh”, (Judges 2:21-22; 3:1-4).  Jesus Said, “If You Love Me, Keep My Commandments”, (John 14:35).  If Yahweh Tested Israel To Learn Whether or Not They Would Kept His Commandments, May We Not Also Reasonably Expect That Our Love For Him Is Now Being Tested By Whether or Not We Obey His Commandments?

Tested By Fire

Fire Testing Is A Present Reality For The Individual Believer In The Church Age As Well As The Client Nation To Yahweh.  Fire Testing Is Also A Part Of The Heritage Of Israel Even In The Church Age.  As The Lord Yahoshua, (The Messiah), Controls Human History, He Demonstrates Divine Good (Gold, Silver, And Precious Stones) By Fire Testing While Destroying Dead Works (Wood, Hay, And Straw).  The Divine Good That Has Been Validated By Fire Testing Will Be Used As A Testimony For Yahweh In The Appeal Trial Of Satan And Will Be The Basis For Eternal Reward.

Fire Testing Proves The Metal Of The Individual Believer To Qualify For Promotion On The Road To Maturity.  Fire Testing May Be Used To Demonstrate Separation From The World To Qualify For The Spiritual Warfare Phase Of The Christian Life On The Road To Spiritual Maturity.  Only When The Believer Loves Yahweh More Than The World Can There Be Qualification For Promotion To Spiritual Warfare.  Following Spiritual Warfare Is The Suffering Phase, Which May Also Include Fire Testing.  Hananiah, {Shadrach}, Mishael, {Meshach}, And Azariah, {Abed-Nego} Underwent Fire Testing When They Refused To Worship The Image Of Nebuchadnezzar.  They Were Thrown Into The Smelting Furnace But Were Delivered By The Power Of Yahweh.  After The Test, They Were Promoted Into Spiritual Maturity.  Fire Testing Can Be Expected In The Life Of The Believer.  It Will Happen, And It Will Hurt.  As The Apostle Peter Said:

Beloved, Do Not Be Surprised At The Fire In You, The Test That Comes Face-to-Face With You, As Though Some Strange Thing Were Happening To You; (1 Peter 4:12).

This Is The Fire Test.  It Comes Face-to-Face With Us On The Stage Of Life.  It Includes Intense Pressure, But It Can Be Discerned By Means Of A Divine Viewpoint From Bible Doctrine In The Soul.  It Can Only Be Passed By Experiential Sanctification, Application Of Bible Doctrine.

“Obey Him In The Little Things

Luke 16:10 ~ He Who Is Faithful In A Very Little [Thing], Is Faithful Also In Much.

Copied From Faith To Faith Daily Devotion By Gloria Copeland.

Have You Ever Wanted To Take On Some Really Big Project In The Kingdom Of Yahweh, But The Lord Just Wouldn’t Seem To Let You?   If So, There’s Probably A Good Reason Why.

You Can See What I’m Talking About If You’ll Read About What Yahweh Did With The Children Of Israel After He Brought Them Out Of Egypt.  He Wanted To Take Them On Into The Promised Land.  But Before He Could Do It, Yahweh Had To Know If They Would Obey Him.  He Had To Know If They Would Listen To His Voice.  Because If They Didn’t, The Enemies They Were About To Face Would Wipe Them Out.

So, Do You Know What He Did?   He Tested Them In A Small Matter.

Exodus 16:4 Tells Us About This Simple Test, “Then Said The Lord Unto Moses, Behold, I Will Rain Bread From Heaven For You; And The People Shall Go Out And Gather A Certain Rate Every Day, That I May Prove Them, Whether They Will Walk In My Law, or Not”.

Yahweh Took A Little, Insignificant Matter, The Food They Ate — And Used It To See If They Would Listen To Him or Not.  He Told Them How Much Of It To Gather, When To Gather And When Not To, And What To Do With It After They Brought It In.

And The Israelites Went Right Out And Violated Those Instructions.  They Showed Yahweh By Their Actions That His Voice Was Not Important To Them.  They Were Not Willing To Obey Even His Simplest Commands.

Yahweh Works The Same Way Today.  Before He Sends You On A Major Mission, He Gives You The Opportunity To Prove You Can Be Trusted With Small Instructions.

But Many Of Us Miss That Opportunity.  We Pray, “What Do You Want Me To Do, Lord?   Where Do You Want Me To Go?   I’ll Do Anything You Say”.  But Then When The Lord Says, “I Want You To Get Up And Pray In The Spirit One Hour Every Morning”, We Fail To Obey Him.  We Say, “Oh Yeah, That Would Be Good.  I Ought To Do That”.  But Somehow We Never Quite Get Around To It.

Don’t Make That Mistake.  Start Today Obeying Yahweh In The Little Things.  Let Him See That He Can Trust You Out There In A Place Of Much Authority.  Let Him Know You’ll Be Faithful To His Words And To The Voice Of His Spirit.  Once He Knows You Won’t Let Disobedience Wipe You Out, He’ll Start Sending Assignments Your Way.

Scripture Reading: Exodus 16:1-28.

“Charles Strong On The Word Testing

http://focusonjerusalem.com/temptation.html

Within The Hebrew And Greek Texts Of Scripture There Are Seven Words That Are Translated Either Tempt, Temptation, Temptations, Tempted, Tempter, Tempteth or Tempting, (KJV).  These Seven Words Are Listed Below:

Hebrew

  1. Nacah — To Test, Prove or Try (Genesis 22:1; Exodus 16: 4; Exodus 17:2, 7; Deuteronomy 6:16; Isaiah 7:12;
    Numbers 14:22; Psalm 78:18, 41, 56; Psalm 95:9; 106:14
    ).
  2. Bachan — To Try, Prove, Test, Examine or Search About (Malachi 3:15).
    Maccah — A Testing or Trial (Psalm 95:8; Deuteronomy 4:34; Deuteronomy 7:19; Deuteronomy 29:3).

Greek

  1. EkpeirazoTry, Prove, Put To The Test (Matthew 4:7; Luke 4:12; 1 Corinthians 10:9; Luke 10:25).
  2. Peirazo To Try, To Prove In Either A Good or Bad Sense, Also To Prove By Solicitation To Sin (Matthew 4:1, 3, 16:1, 19:3, 22:18, 35; Mark 1:13; 8:11, 10:2, 12:15; Luke 4:2, 11:16, 29:23;
    John 8:6; Acts 5:9, 15:10; 1 Corinthians 7:5, 10:9,13; Galatians 6:1, 1 Thessalonians 3:5;
    Hebrews 2:18, 3:9; 4:15, 11:37; James 1:13, 14
    )
    .
  3. Peirasmos — Trial (Matthew 6:13, 26:41; Mark 14:38; Luke 4:13; 8:13, 11:4, 22:28, 40, 46;
    Acts 20:19; 1 Corinthians 10:13; Galatians 4:14; 1 Timothy 6:9; Hebrews 3:8; James 1:2,12;
    1 Peter 1,6; 2 Peter 2:9; Revelation 3:10
    ).
  4. Apeirastos — Negative Of Peirazo, Incapable Of Being Tempted (James 1:13b).

Although ALL The Words Carry Nearly The Same Meaning, Their Primary Connotation Is One Of A Trial or Test.  Such Trials or Tests May Be Made For The Purpose Of Making A Person Fall Into Sin (The Exclusive Territory Of Satan, (James 1:13).  They May Be Made For The Purpose Of Proving, Refining And Strengthening One’s Spirituality.
