Let’s Look At Abraham.  Abraham Was Called Our Father In The Faith.

Romans 4:11-16
 ¹¹ And He Received The Sign Of Circumcision, A Seal Of The Righteousness Of The Faith Which He Had Yet Being Uncircumcised: That He Might Be The Father Of All Them That Believe, Though They Be Not Circumcised; That Righteousness Might Be Imputed Unto Them Also:
 ¹² And The Father Of Circumcision To Them Who Are Not Of The Circumcision Only, But Who Also Walk In The Steps Of That Faith Of Our Father Abraham, Which He Had Being Yet Uncircumcised.
 ¹³ For The Promise, That He Should Be The Heir Of The World, Was Not To Abraham, Or To His Seed, Through The Law, But Through The Righteousness Of Faith.
 ¹⁴ For If They Which Are Of The Law Be Heirs, Faith Is Made Void, And The Promise Made Of None Effect:
 ¹⁵ Because The Law Works Wrath: For Where No Law Is, There Is No Transgression.
 ¹⁶ Therefore It Is Of Faith, That It Might Be By Grace; To The End The Promise Might Be Sure To All The Seed; Not To That Only Which Is Of The Law, But To That Also Which Is Of The Faith Of Abraham; Who Is The Father Of Us All,
 ¹⁷ (As It Is Written, I Have Made You A Father Of Many Nations), Before Him Whom He Believed, Even God, Who Quickens The Dead, And Calls Those Things Which Be Not As Though They Were.

Galatians 3:6-7
 ⁶ Even As Abraham Believed God, And It Was Accounted To Him For Righteousness.
 ⁷ Know Therefore That Those Who Are Of Faith Are Children Of Abraham.

Genesis 22:3-5, 18
 ³ So Abraham Got Up Early The Next Morning, Saddled His Donkey, And Took Along Two Of His Servants And His Son Isaac. He Split The Wood For A Burnt Offering And Set Out For The Place God Had Designated.
 ⁴ On The Third Day Abraham Looked Up And Saw The Place In The Distance.
 ⁵ “Stay Here With The Donkey”, Abraham Told His Servants. “The Boy And I Will Go Over There To Worship, And Then We Will Return To You”.
 ¹⁸ And In Your Seed [Christ] Shall All The Nations Of The Earth Be Blessed And [By Him] Bless Themselves, Because You Have Heard And Obeyed My Voice.

Abraham’s Faith Was Revealed In His Obedience.

After Abraham Obeyed Yahweh And Was Going To Offer His Son As A Sacrifice, Yahweh Was Now Obligated Under The Covenant To Offer His Son To Death.  Yahweh Did Us Good, By Making It Legal For Him To Get His Son On The Earth.  Yahweh Stopped Abraham From Killing His Only Son, And We Could Have Stopped Yahweh From Killing His Only Son, But We Did Not, And Yahoshua Died On The Cross.

But, More Than Being Willing To Offer His Son As A Sacrifice, Abraham’s Faith Was The Same Faith That Allowed Yahoshua To Be Raised From The Dead.  “Abraham Said To His Young Men, “Stay Here With The Donkey. The Boy And I Will Go Over There. WE Will Worship, And Come Back To You”, {WEB}, (Genesis 22:5).   Notice Abraham Said, We Will ‘Come Back To You’, This Was A Certain Earnest Expectation… Not A ‘It May Be’ Quasi Or Vague Expectation.  And There Was Only Abraham And His Son Isaac With Him, So When He Said “WE … Will Come Back To You”, That Could Only Mean That Abraham Was Intending For Both Himself And Isaac To Return, {Which They Did As We Read Starting In Genesis 24, How Isaac Grew, Got A Wife, Acquired Land, Got Old}, And That Means That Abraham Was Believing Yahweh To Raise Isaac From The Dead For As He Left.

Abraham Had Isaac Carry The Wood For The Sacrifice While Abraham Carried The Knife And The Fire, So Abraham Knew That He Was Going Up To The Mountain To Sacrifice Isaac, (Genesis 22:6-8).  WOW~!  Abraham Had Some Kind Of Faith, No Wonder Abraham Is The Father Of Us All, (Romans 4:16)}.The Word Abraham Used, “We”, Indicates That Isaac Would Be Coming Back With Abraham… Alive~!   How Would That Be Possible, As Abraham Had Been Instructed To Offer His Son, Isaac, As A Sacrifice?  This Was Because Abraham Accounted That Yahweh Was Able To Raise Isaac From The Dead, [Abraham Believed God Was Able To Bring Isaac Back To Life Again. And So ‘It May Be’ Said That Abraham Did Receive Him Back From Death, (Hebrews 11:17-19, {NLV/NLT}).

It Was The Very Faith Of Father Abraham That Allowed Yahoshua To Be Raised From The Dead, {For Abraham’s Faith Was Like The “Energizer Bunny”… Still Going And Going, (However, Yahweh Prevented Abraham From Killing His Only Son, Because Of The Covenants Which Yahweh Made With Abraham Written In Genesis 15 & 17)}.

Hebrews 11:17 {New Living Translation ~ NLT}
 ¹⁹ For Abraham Considered [It Reasonable To Believe] That God Was Able To Raise Isaac Even From Among The Dead.

Once I Bunge Jumped From A 170 Foot Crane.  I Firmly Believed That I Was Going To Jump And Come So Close To The Ground That My Nose Would Just Miss The Payment By One Inch.  But, As It Turned Out, The Bunge Cord Only Went Down 60-80 Feet.  But, I Had Faith To Go All The Way To The Ground.  I Always Thought That I Had Untapped Faith That I Was Putting Out.

Abraham’s Untapped Faith Was Still Going, Believing That Even If His Son, (Which Would Include The Seed, Yahoshua), Was Killed That Yahweh Would Raise Him From The Dead.

Romans 4:17
 ¹⁷ (As It Is Written, “I Have Made You A Father Of Many Nations”), In The Presence Of Him Whom He Believed—God, Who Gives Life To The Dead And Calls Those Things Which Do Not Exist As Though They Did;
 ¹⁸ Who, Contrary To Hope, In Hope Believed, So That He Became The Father Of Many Nations, According To What Was Spoken, “So Shall Your Descendants Be”, (Genesis 12:2; Genesis 13:16; Genesis 15:4-5; Genesis 17:5-6).
 ¹⁹ And Not Being Weak In Faith, He Did Not Consider His Own Body, Already Dead (Since He Was About A Hundred Years Old), And The Deadness Of Sarah’s Womb.
 ²⁰ He Did Not Waver At The Promise Of God Through Unbelief, But Was Strengthened In Faith, Giving Glory To God,
²¹ And Being Fully Convinced That What He Had Promised He Was Also Able To Perform.
 ²² And Therefore “It Was Accounted To Him For Righteousness”, (Genesis 15:6).

So Yahweh Also Had Access To The Untapped Faith Of A Certain Man Born On The Earth, {Abraham}, [With Legal Rights To Be On The Earth]; To Believe That His Son Would Be Raised From The Dead, (As Yahweh Was In Covenant With Abraham).  Being Born On The Earth Gives You A Legal Jurisdiction And Authority Over This Planet.  And Now Abraham Had Put Forth Faith To Believe That Yahweh Was Going To Raise His Son From The Dead.  This Faith Was Untapped And Reserved Faith.  Abraham Was Not Just Obeying When He Went To Offer Isaac, But Also Believing~!  Wow~!  So, Yahweh By Covenant Had To Offer His Son And Was Legally Permitted To Believe That Yahoshua Could Be Raised From The Dead, (Even Though At The Time Yahweh Had Given All Authority Over The Earth To Adam And Adam Gave It To d—Evil One And Yahweh Had No Legal Rights… Until The Covenant With Abraham~!

Genesis 22:18
 ¹⁸ And In Your Offspring Shall All The Nations Of The Earth Be Blessed; Because You Have Obeyed My Voice.

Genesis 26:3-5
 ³ Live In This Land, And I Will Be With You, And Will Bless You.  For I Will Give To You, And To Your Offspring, All These Lands, And I Will Establish The Oath Which I Swore To Abraham Your Father.
 ⁴ I Will Multiply Your Offspring As The Stars Of The Sky, And Will Give All These Lands To Your Offspring.  In Your Offspring All The Nations Of The Earth Will Be Blessed,
 ⁵ Because Abraham Obeyed My Voice, And Kept My Requirements, My Commandments, My Statutes, And My Laws.

James 2:20-24
 ²⁰ But Do You Want To Know, Vain Man, That Faith Apart From Works Is Dead?
 ²¹ Wasn’t Abraham Our Father Justified By Works, In That He Offered Up Isaac His Son On The Altar?
 ²² You See That Faith Worked With His Works, And By Works Faith Was Perfected.
 ²³ So The Scripture Was Fulfilled Which Says, “Abraham Believed God, And It Was Accounted To Him As Righteousness”, And He Was Called The Friend Of God.
 ²⁴ You See Then That By Works A Man Is Justified, And Not Only By Faith.

John 15:14
You Are My Friends If You Do Whatever I Command You.

John 14:21-24
 ²¹ One Who Has My Commandments And Keeps Them, That Person Is One Who Loves Me.  One Who Loves Me Will Be Loved By My Father, And I Will Love Him, And Will Reveal Myself To Him”.
 ²² Judas (Not Iscariot) Said To Him, “Lord, What Has Happened That You Are About To Reveal Yourself To Us, And Not To The World?”
 ²³ Jesus Answered Him, “If A Man Loves Me, He Will Keep My Word.  My Father Will Love Him, And We Will Come To Him And Make Our Home With Him.

1 Samuel 15:1-35
 ¹ Samuel Said To Saul, “Yahweh Sent Me To Anoint You To Be King Over His People, Over Israel. Now Therefore Listen To The Voice Of Yahweh’s Words.
 ² Yahweh Of Armies Says, ‘I Remember What Amalek Did To Israel, How He Set Himself Against Him On The Way When He Came Up Out Of Egypt.
 ³ Now Go And Strike Amalek, And Utterly Destroy All That They Have, And Don’t Spare Them; But Kill Both Man And Woman, Infant And Nursing Baby, Ox And Sheep, Camel And Donkey.’”
 ⁴ Saul Summoned The People, And Counted Them In Telaim, Two Hundred Thousand Footmen And Ten Thousand Men Of Judah.
 ⁵ Saul Came To The City Of Amalek, And Set An Ambush In The Valley.
 ⁶ Saul Said To The Kenites, “Go, Depart, Go Down From Among The Amalekites, Lest I Destroy You With Them; For You Showed Kindness To All The Children Of Israel When They Came Up Out Of Egypt”. So The Kenites Departed From Among The Amalekites.
 ⁷ Saul Struck The Amalekites, From Havilah As You Go To Shur, Which Is Before Egypt.
 ⁸ He Took Agag The King Of The Amalekites Alive, And Utterly Destroyed All The People With The Edge Of The Sword.
 ⁹ But Saul And The People Spared Agag And The Best Of The Sheep, Of The Cattle, Of The Fat Calves, Of The Lambs, And All That Was Good, And Were Not Willing To Utterly Destroy Them; But Everything That Was Vile And Refuse, That They Destroyed Utterly.
 ¹⁰ Then Yahweh’s Word Came To Samuel, Saying,
 ¹¹ “It Grieves Me That I Have Set Up Saul To Be King, For He Has Turned Back From Following Me, And Has Not Performed My Commandments”.  Samuel Was Angry; And He Cried To Yahweh All Night.
 ¹² Samuel Rose Early To Meet Saul In The Morning; And Samuel Was Told, Saying, “Saul Came To Carmel, And Behold, He Set Up A Monument For Himself, Turned, Passed On, And Went Down To Gilgal”.
 ¹³ Samuel Came To Saul; And Saul Said To Him, “You Are Blessed By Yahweh~!  I Have Performed The Commandment Of Yahweh”.
 ¹⁴ Samuel Said, “Then What Does This Bleating Of The Sheep In My Ears And The Lowing Of The Cattle Which I Hear Mean?”
 ¹⁵ Saul Said, “They Have Brought Them From The Amalekites;  For The People Spared The Best Of The Sheep And Of The Cattle, To Sacrifice To Yahweh Your God. We Have Utterly Destroyed The Rest”.
 ¹⁶ Then Samuel Said To Saul, “Stay, And I Will Tell You What Yahweh Said To Me Last Night”. He Said To Him, “Say On”.
 ¹⁷ Samuel Said, “Though You Were Little In Your Own Sight, Weren’t You Made The Head Of The Tribes Of Israel? Yahweh Anointed You King Over Israel;
 ¹⁸ And Yahweh Sent You On A Journey, And Said, ‘Go, And Utterly Destroy The Sinners The Amalekites, And Fight Against Them Until They Are Consumed.’
 ¹⁹ Why Then Didn’t You Obey Yahweh’s Voice, But Took The Plunder, And Did That Which Was Evil In Yahweh’s Sight?”
 ²⁰ Saul Said To Samuel, “But I Have Obeyed Yahweh’s Voice, And Have Gone The Way Which Yahweh Sent Me, And Have Brought Agag The King Of Amalek, And Have Utterly Destroyed The Amalekites.
 ²¹ But The People Took Of The Plunder, Sheep And Cattle, The Best Of The Devoted Things, To Sacrifice To Yahweh Your God In Gilgal”.
 ²² Samuel Said, “Has Yahweh As Great Delight In Burnt Offerings And Sacrifices, As In Obeying Yahweh’s Voice?  Behold, To Obey Is Better Than Sacrifice, And To Listen Than The Fat Of Rams.
 ²³ For Rebellion Is As The Sin Of Witchcraft, And Stubbornness Is As Idolatry And Teraphim ^(a).  Because You Have Rejected Yahweh’s Word, He Has Also Rejected You From Being King”.
 ²⁴ Saul Said To Samuel, “I Have Sinned; For I Have Transgressed The Commandment Of Yahweh And Your Words, Because I Feared The People And Obeyed Their Voice.
 ²⁵ Now Therefore, Please Pardon My Sin, And Turn Again With Me, That I May Worship Yahweh”.
 ²⁶ Samuel Said To Saul, “I Will Not Return With You; For You Have Rejected Yahweh’s Word, And Yahweh Has Rejected You From Being King Over Israel”.
 ²⁷ As Samuel Turned Around To Go Away, Saul Grabbed The Skirt Of His Robe, And It Tore.
 ²⁸ Samuel Said To Him, “Yahweh Has Torn The Kingdom Of Israel From You Today, And Has Given It To A Neighbor Of Yours Who Is Better Than You.
 ²⁹ Also The Strength Of Israel Will Not Lie Nor Repent; For He Is Not A Man, That He Should Repent”.
 ³⁰ Then He Said, “I Have Sinned; Yet Please Honor Me Now Before The Elders Of My People And Before Israel, And Come Back With Me, That I May Worship Yahweh Your God”.
 ³¹ So Samuel Went Back With Saul; And Saul Worshiped Yahweh.
 ³² Then Samuel Said, “Bring Agag The King Of The Amalekites Here To Me!”
Agag Came To Him Cheerfully.  Agag Said, “Surely The Bitterness Of Death Is Past”.
 ³³ Samuel Said, “As Your Sword Has Made Women Childless, So Your Mother Will Be Childless Among Women~!”  Then Samuel Cut Agag In Pieces Before Yahweh In Gilgal.
 ³⁴ Then Samuel Went To Ramah; And Saul Went Up To His House To Gibeah Of Saul.
 ³⁵ Samuel Came No More To See Saul Until The Day Of His Death, But Samuel Mourned For Saul.  Yahweh Grieved That He Had Made Saul King Over Israel.

1 Samuel 13:13.
Samuel Said To Saul, “You Have Done Foolishly. You Have Not Kept The Commandment Of Yahweh Your God, Which He Commanded You; For Now Yahweh Would Have Established Your Kingdom On Israel Forever.

1 Samuel 15:22-23 Says This About Being Stubborn:
²² And Samuel Said, Does Yahweh Great Delight In Burnt Offerings And Sacrifices,
As In Obeying The Voice Of Yahweh?  Behold, To Obey Is Better Than Sacrifice, And To Hearken Than The Fat Of Rams.
²³ For Rebellion Is As The Sin Of Witchcraft, And Stubbornness Is As Idolatry And Teraphim (Household Good Luck Images).
Because You Have Rejected The Word Of Yahweh, He Also Has Rejected You From Being King”.

The Snake, (Serpent), On A Pole That Folks Were To Look Upon In Moses Times To Be Healed If A Serpent Had Bitten Them, Became The Emblem Or Insignia Denoting The Military Medical Corps, (The Caduceus),

Numbers 21:8-9.
⁸ And Yahweh Said To Moses, Make A Fiery Serpent [Of Bronze] And Set It On A Pole; And Everyone Who Is Bitten, When He Looks At It, Shall Live.
⁹ And Moses Made A Serpent Of Bronze And Put It On A Pole, And If A Serpent Had Bitten Any Man, When He Looked To The Serpent Of Bronze [Attentively, Expectantly, With A Steady And Absorbing Gaze], He Lived.

Why Was A Snake On A Pole Significant?  Isn’t Yahoshua Our Healer?  Shouldn’t The Symbol Of Our Healing and Deliverance Be Something Other Than What Represents Satan?  No, That Is Because “For Our Sake He Made Him To Be Sin Who Knew No Sin, So That In Him We Might Become The Righteousness Of God”, (2 Corinthians 5:21).

‘Yahoshua Became Sin~!’

Yahoshua Didn’t Just Take Our Sins Away, Or Take Our Sins Upon Him.  He Became Sin.  This Is Why It Was So Challenging For Him As He Prayed In The Garden Of Gethsemane On The Night Before His Crucifixion When Jesus Prayed, Going A Little Farther, He Fell Facedown And Prayed, “My Father, If It Is Possible, Let This Cup Pass From Me. Yet Not As I Will, But As You Will”, (Matthew 26:39; Mark 14:34-36; Luke 22:42).

Matthew 20:20-25 ~ {Over / Under}
 ²⁰ Then The Mother Of Zebedee’s Sons Came To Him With Her Sons, Kneeling Down And Asking Something From Him.
 ²¹ And He Said To Her, “What Do You Wish?”
 ²² But Jesus Answered And Said, “You Do Not Know What You Ask.  Are You Able To Drink The Cup That I Am About To Drink, And Be Baptized With The Baptism That I Am Baptized With?”  They Said To Him, “We Are Able”.
 ²³ So He Said To Them, “You Will Indeed Drink My Cup, And Be Baptized With The Baptism That I Am Baptized With; But To Sit On My Right Hand And On My Left Is Not Mine To Give, But It Is For Those For Whom It Is Prepared By My Father”.

 ²⁵ But Jesus Called Them To Himself And Said, “You Know That The Rulers Of The Gentiles, {Heathen} Lord It Over Them, And Those Who Are Great Exercise Authority Over Them.

1 Peter 5:1-4
 ¹ Therefore I Exhort The Elders Among You, As A Fellow Elder And A Witness Of The Sufferings Of Christ, And Who Will Also Share In The Glory That Will Be Revealed:
 ² Shepherd The Flock Of God Which Is Among You, Exercising The Oversight, Not Under Compulsion, But Voluntarily; Not For Dishonest Gain, But Willingly;
 ³ Not As Lording It Over Those Entrusted To You, But Making Yourselves Examples To The Flock.
 ⁴ When The Chief Shepherd Is Revealed, You Will Receive The Crown Of Glory That Doesn’t Fade Away.

Romans 10:9-10
 ⁹ That If You Will Confess With Your Mouth That Jesus Is Lord And Believe In Your Heart That God Raised Him From The Dead, You Will Be Saved.
 ¹⁰ For With The Heart One Believes Resulting In Righteousness; And With The Mouth Confession Is Made Resulting In Salvation.

Also NoteWorthy That Moses Is Called, ‘My Servant’.  Yahoshua Said That Even He, The ‘Son Of Man’ Came Not To Be Served, (‘Ministered To’), But To Serve, (‘Minister To’), (Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45).  The Word ‘Minister’ Used Above Means To ‘Serve’.  It’s The Greek Word ‘Diakoneo’, (Which Is The Word That We Get ‘Deacon’ From).

James 1:1 ~ James, A Servant Of God And Of The Lord Jesus Christ…

Titus 1:1 ~ Paul, A Servant Of God, And An Apostle Of Jesus Christ…

Hebrews 6:10 ~ For Yahweh Is Not Unjust To Forget Your Work And “Labor Of Love” Which You Have Shown Toward His Name, In That You Have ‘Ministered’ To The Saints, And Do ‘Minister’.

Luke 12:37 ~ Blessed (Happy, Fortunate, And To Be Envied) Are Those Servants Whom The Master Finds Awake And Alert And Watching When He Comes.  Truly I Say To You, He Will Gird Himself And Have Them Recline At Table And Will Come And Serve Them~!

This Is My Commandment, That You ‘Love One Another’, Even As I Have Loved You, (John 15:12).  This Is Not A Suggestion Nor Was The Word, ‘Please’, Or, ‘Endeavor’ Or ‘Try’ Included As A Prefix.

Hebrews 11:8
 ⁸ By Faith Abraham, When He Was Called To Go Out Into A Place Which He Should After Receive For An Inheritance, Obeyed; And He Went Out, Not Knowing Whither He Went.

Proverbs 3:5
 ⁸ Trust In Yahweh With All Your Heart, And Don’t Lean On Your Own Understanding.

Ephesians 2:1-2
 ¹ You Were Made Alive When You Were Dead In Transgressions And Sins,
 ² In Which You Once Walked According To The Course Of This World, According To The Prince Of The Power Of The Air, The Spirit Who Now Works In The Children Of Disobedience.

{Disobedience = UnBelief; Who Do Not Believe Yahweh; Do Not Trust Yahweh ~ The Two Are Interchangeable}.

2 Corinthians 4:4
 ⁴ Whose Minds The God Of This Age Has Blinded, Who Do Not Believe, Lest The Light Of The Gospel Of The Glory Of Christ, Who Is The Image Of God, Should Shine On Them.

{The God Of This Age; The Spirit Of Disobedience}

Romans 10:20
 ²⁰ Isaiah Is Very Bold And Says, “I Was Found By Those Who Didn’t Seek Me.  I Was Revealed To Those Who Didn’t Ask For Me”.

Disobedient And GainSaying People.  Be Aware Of Arguing.  GainSaying Is Talking Back To Contradict; Deny; Speak Against or Oppose Someone.

Isaiah 65:1-2
 ¹ “I Am Inquired Of By Those Who Didn’t Ask.  I Am Found By Those Who Didn’t Seek Me.
I Said, ‘See Me, See Me, ’ To A Nation That Was Not Called By My Name.
 ² I Have Spread Out Mine Hands All The Day Unto A Rebellious People, Which Walked In A Way That Was Not Good, Even After Their Own Imaginations.

Pursuing Their On Imaginations.  The Enemy To Yahweh’s Plans Are Our Plans.

What Is The Difference Between Truth And Belief?  Truth Is True Whether We Believe It Or Not.

Don’t Focus On What You Don’t Have.  What You Can’t Do, (ie… Too Old).  Have Faith Because You Trust.  Disobedience ~ Believed Me Not~!

He That Heeds Instruction Is On The Path To Life, {Shall Prosper}; But He Who Rejects Reproof Leads Others Astray, (Proverbs 10:17; Proverbs 13:1; Proverbs 15:31-33; John 15:7).

What Is The Difference Between Fantasy & Imaginations / Our Creative Capacity?  Fantasy Is Based On Falsehoods and Deceptions, and Imaginations That Come From The Holy Ghost Is Your Potential Future That Is Truth.

1 Peter 1:13
Therefore Prepare <G328> ¹ Your Mind{s} <G1271> ² For Action.  Be Sober, And Set Your Hope Fully On The Grace That Will Be Brought To You At The Revelation Of Jesus Christ—

¹ To Gird Up The Loins Of Your Mind… Back In The Roman Days, The Men Wore Essentially What We Would Be A Mid-Length Dress Or Robe To Us.  So, If They Were Going To Run Or To Take Action, Then They Would Grab The Bottom Of Their Clothes / Garments In The Middle And Tie Each Side To Their Hips.  Now, They Were Ready To Race, Ready For Action.  So, When The Scripture Says To Gird Up The Loins Of Your Mind That Means To Prepare Your Mind{s} <G1271> For Action.

² This Greek Word For Mind{s} Is The Word Dianoia, <G1271> And It Means “Imagination”.  This Is Not The Same Word Used In Romans 12:2 For Mind, {“And Be Not Conformed To This World: But Be Ye Transformed By The Renewing Of Your Mind”}.

This Word Indicates That We Are To Prepare Our Imagination For Action.  To Dwell On The  Dreams Or Visions That Yahweh Has Inspired You To Do For His Kingdom.  Spend Time Dreaming With The Holy Ghost~!

If Just Every Other Man Was Married And Had 1-2 Children, We’re Talking About The Population Of Dallas, Texas; Or More.  So, If This Were Just A Trickle Of Water, It Would Have Taken A Month Or More For Everyone To Get Enough Water, And Then They’d Have To Start Over .

Look At The Following Verses Of Scriptures That Show That The Water Gushed Out Like A River.  Then Moses Lifted Up His Hand And Struck The Rock Twice With His Staff; Water Came Out Abundantly, And The Congregation And Their Livestock Drank, (Numbers 20:11).

Psalm 74:15, You Did SPLIT The Fountain And The Flood: You Dried Up Mighty Rivers.  (Some Translations Use The Word Cleve, Which You Might Not Be Familiar With; However, You’ve Sang About The “Cleft Of The Rock”, All Your Life And Cleft ~ “A Space Or Opening Made By Or As If By Splitting” Is The Past Tense Of The Word Cleve). :)

The Perfect Example Of Faith Is Also The Perfect Example Of Obedience.  Set Up Yahoshua, {Jesus}, As Your Example.

The Highest Title Of Tribute You Could Give A Person In The Old Testament Was To Call Them, ‘The Servant Of Yahweh’ (‘ebed’ YHVH).  The Hebrew Word For Servant, ‘ebed’, Denotes, “God Given Authority As The Accredited Messengers Of Yahweh”.  ‘The Servant Of Yahweh’ Was One Who Was Chosen By Yahweh.  The Origin Implies The Position Of A Slave~!

The Term, ‘The Servant Of Yahweh’ Is Also Applied To Those Who Worship God (Nehemiah 1:10); And To Those Who Minister Or Serve Him (Isaiah 49:5-6). The Phrase, ‘The Servant Of Yahweh’, Is The Most Outstanding Reference To The Messiah In The Old Testament, And Its Teachings Are Concentrated At The End Of Isaiah; (Isaiah 42:1,19; 43:10; 49:3,5-7; 52:13; 53:11).  {Abide In Christ}.

David Had To Wean His ‘Soul’… To Discipline Himself.  “Like A Weaned Child Is My ‘Soul’ Within Me”

‘A Person After His Own Heart’.  What Does That Mean? And ‘My Servant?’ There Used To Be A Looney Tunes Cartoon Where Ralph Wolf And Sam Sheepdog Would Punch In On A Time Clock And They Would Greet One Another.  Then Throughout The Rest Of The Day Until They Clocked Out, They Were Enemies, Until Tomorrow.

However, Sheep Don’t Keep 9-to-5 Schedules.  My Father Was A Pastor For 42 Years And The Numerous Times Dad Would Have To Lay Aside Some Project He Was Working On, Or Have His Vacation Interrupted Because He Had To Rush Back To His Church Because Someone Was In The Hospital, Or A Person Died And The Family Wanted Dad To Perform The Funeral And He Would Have To Cut Short His Time Visiting Kinfolks In The Smoky Mountains.  To Give Up One’s Agenda To Tend To The Flock… ‘That’s A Pastor’s Heart, And A Person After Yahweh’s Own Heart’.

I Have Had Several Folks Tell Me That They Thought I Have A Pastor’s Heart.  Well, It Wasn’t On Purpose.  I Didn’t Want To Give Up What I Was Doing To Go Visit The Sick… …But, The Love Of Yahweh Just Kept Leaking Out~!  ‘The Love Of Yahweh Compels Us’, (2 Corinthians 5:14-15); To Be Willing Do The Right Thing, (Isaiah 1:19).  Not For Selfish Gain Or Filthy Lucre, {NT:146 ~ A Person Who Is Eager To Gain Even If Such Gain Degrades Their Moral Character}, Not As A Hireling, (John 10:12, 1 Timothy 3:2-3).   It Means To Lay Down Your Life, Your Plans, Your Agenda, For The Flock That Yahweh Has Entrusted You With, (John 10:11-15); And To Do So Cheerfully.  “For They Watch For Your Souls, As They That Must Give Account, That They May Do It With ‘Joy’~!”, {Hebrews 13:7; 17}.  It Is The Exact Same Thing A Husband Is Told To Do For Their Wives, (Ephesians 5:28); But On A Bigger Scale~!  This Is ‘A Person After Yahweh’s Own Heart’.

Sometimes, An Ewe, (A Female Sheep) Was About To Give Birth Any Day Now, (Called ‘Lambing’).  A Shepherd Watching Over Their Pasture, (Pastor), Would Know The State Of Their Flock And They Would Know That Fluffy Was About To Give Birth And They Might HaveTo Pull An Overnighter In The Cold With Left Over Food And Follow Fluffy All Around And Make Sure She Doesn’t Fall In A Ditch, (Because Of Her Being Pregnant With Additional Weight And Off-Balance, She Might Tumble Down A Hill).  Perhaps There Was A Joyous Event Taking Place Back At The Homestead, (A Celebration, A Birthday Party, An Anniversary, A Feast Day}… But The Shepherd Couldn’t Leave Because They Were Needed To Watch After Fluffy As She Was In A Vulnerable Situation From Predators During Labor, And In Case She Needed Assistance.  Was This Noticed By Yahweh?  You Betcha~!

So, Here’s The Reason Why David Was Chosen To Be A King~!

Psalm 78:70-73 ~
He Also Chose David His Servant, And Took Him From The Sheepfolds; From Following The Ewes Great With Young He Brought Him To Feed Jacob His People, And Israel His Inheritance, So He Was Their Shepherd According To ‘The Integrity Of His Heart’, And Guided Them By The Skillfulness Of His Hands

2 Samuel 7:8; 1 Chronicles 17:7. ~
Now Therefore Thus Shall You Tell ‘My Servant’ David, Thus Says ‘Yahweh Of Hosts’ , I Took You From The Sheep Pen, From Following The Sheep, That You Should Be Prince Over My People, Over Israel

1 Samuel 17:34-35 ~
“And David Said Unto Saul, ‘Your Servant’ Kept His Father’s Sheep, And There Came A Lion, And A Bear, And Took A Lamb Out Of The Flock: Your Servant Slew Both The Lion And The Bear: And This unCircumcised Philistine Shall Be As One Of Them, Seeing He Has Defied The Armies Of The Living God”.

Do A Word Study On ‘Kept’ Or ‘Keep’, {Start With Psalm 121:5-8 & Take It ALL The Way To Yahoshua Words, (John 17:12)}.

David Would Follow The Ewes And Stay With Them If They Were Pregnant Probably Meaning An Overnighter Without Much Food Probably In The Cold, Eating Leftovers Alone Instead Of The ‘Supper With The Family’ And Miss Out On The Joyous Laughter.  David Was A Good Shepherd In The Pastures, And Yahweh Wanted Someone With A Heart Like His, That Would Want To Watch Over And Tend To Those In His Charge, And Not Someone Doing It For Money, (Not A Hireling ~ Read It For Yourself). ‘A Person After His Own Heart’ ‘My Servant’.

Notice This About David And Compare It To Being A Good Shepherd And Probably One Of The Reasons That David Was Chosen.

1 Samuel 17:20 And David Rose Up Early In The Morning, And ‘Left The Sheep With A Keeper’ Of The Supplies / Baggage / Quartermaster Carriages, And Took, And Went, As Jesse Had Commanded Him; And He Came To The Trench, As The Host Was Going Forth To The Fight, And Shouted For The Battle.

1 Samuel 17:22 And David Left His Carriage ‘In The Hand Of The Keeper’ Of The Carriage, And Ran Into The Army, And Came And Saluted His Brethren.

Matthew 25:23
His Lord Said To Him, ‘Well Done, Good And Faithful Servant; You Have Been Faithful Over A Few Things, I Will Make You Ruler Over Many Things. Enter Into The ‘Joy’ Of Your Lord.’

Suppose You Know Of Someone That Has A Pet(s) And They Go Out Of Town?  And They Just Leave The Pet Alone With Some Dry Food Or Water For A Few Days.  Or You Know Of Someone Else When They Go Out Of Town, They Get A Neighbor To Watch After Their Pet(s) And A Key To The House, So That They Can Check On The Pet(s).  If You Had To Go Out Of Town And Leave Your Pets With Someone, Which Would You Choose?  This Is Precisely What Yahweh Did.  This Is What It Means To Have A ‘Pastor’s {Shepherd’s} Heart’.  Yahweh Chose Someone That Had A ‘Good Shepherd’s Heart’ To Shepherd His Folks.  Except, We Are Not Just Talking About Feeding Them With Food.

‘Be Diligent To Know The State Of Your Flocks’, ‘And Attend To Your Herds’, (Proverbs 27:23).

“‘Take Care And Be On Guard For Yourselves And The Whole Flock Over Which The Holy Spirit Has Appointed You As A Watchman’, {OverSeer, Guardians} <NT: Cháris, Strong’s Concordance # G01985)>, ‘To Shepherd (Tend And Feed And Guide)’ The Church Of The Lord Or Of God Which He Obtained For Himself [Buying It And Saving It For Himself] With His Own Blood”. (Acts 20:28).

‘Why Was Abraham Chosen?’

Yahweh Said, “Will I Hide From Abraham What I Do, Seeing That Abraham Has Surely Become A Great And Mighty Nation, And ALL The Nations Of The Earth Will Be Blessed In Him?  ‘For I Have Known Him, To The End That He May Command His Children And His Household After Him, That They May Keep The Way Of Yahweh’, To Do Righteousness And Justice; To The End That Yahweh May Bring On Abraham That Which He Has ‘Spoken’ Of Him”, (Genesis 18:17-19).
